There's more to her than meets the eye.
Her thick makeup is her disguise.
With her heart on her sleeve,
she was trying to please...you.
She sits alone by candle-light.
Her thoughts keep her up all through the night.
Trying to conceive,
how she can please...you.
Holes in the soles of her old broken shoes.
The invisible girl with nothing to lose.
She danced all night,
trying to impress...you.
Her heads a mess, her family no less.
She plays the part perfect, of a Damself in distress.
Her only hope though,
is trying to impress...you.

She broke into his heart
Uninvited from the start
It was a sham
Without a plan
A game they had to play
And for months they set the stage
But his lines he did not know
He could never keep in time
And... It would
never, ever or ever
work out in his best interests
and for his weary heart and mind he would
forever endevour
but never ever
find any kind of rest

Second take
*Just something i've always pondered over through my life...
If I could lie and dream forever,
would I know of owt but pleasure ?
If I could dream through night and day,
would there be a price to pay ?
If I could live but not live life,
then I could live life without strife !
If I could be the only one,
to wash away what has been done ...
If I could get a second chance,
then I would take it at a glance,
and I would learn through my mistakes,
I'd get it right on the second take.

Time

but hes asking questions
I cant ignore

a Preface
Ok I wondered how to get poetry out to let people read and so I have decided to do it anonymously. Hopefully ill get some feedback from this and maybe learn something but here goes ...
